Behind the Divadelná Nitra, there are 20 years of tireless devotion to the creation of the festival – from its conception to the selection of events for the main, accompanying and working programme to pledging the financial support necessary to organise Slovakia’s largest international theatre event. Our statistics reflect this: we have presented 297 productions in the main programme, out of which 174 were foreign and 123 Slovak; also, there have been participants from 30 countries; 112 winners of the annual DOSKY Awards; 44 major working events; 1,189 accompanying events; 74 visual art events; 105 film screenings... These numbers will further increase this year: the programme will include 8 foreign and 4 Slovak productions, 4 working programme events and dozens of accompanying events.
