Re-construction of the team

Re-constructed team of Divadelná Nitra 2018.

The new edition of the International Festival Divadelná Nitra brings new challenges. That's why we welcome new colleagues to take care of the action and smooth running of the event. The new PR manager, Marek Suchitra, will handle the promotion of the festival in media at home and abroad, and the new office manager, Ivana Pirschelová, will be responsible for the administrative work of the International Festival Divadelná Nitra.

Bc. Marek Suchitra

My name is Marek Suchitra, and I'm currently studying for a Master's degree in Dramaturgy and Screenwriting at the Film and Television Faculty of The Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. Apart from studying, I have been working in dubbing for more than 10 years. Because of my great interest in media and advertising, I was lucky to become a PR manager for a number of cultural events (Visegrad Film Forum, The Young Audience Award, Áčko 2016) and I am currently promoting the feature film directed by Teodor Kuhn "By a Sharp Knife". I also manage the environment of online marketing and social media for the Association of Slovak Film Clubs, Febiofest and Fest Anča. I believe that my experience and the tracking of current trends will bring fresh air and new ideas for Divadelná Nitra and together we will get even closer to people.

Mgr. Ivana Pirschelová

My name is Ivana Pirschelová and I am a new person in the working group of Divadelná Nitra. As an office manager, I am in charge of running the office and the secretariat, so I can help with any request. I love traveling, culture and good food. I am an optimistic and responsible person with a creative mind and artistic spirit. I am looking forward to our cooperation.

Curators of the Slovak programme will be from MLOKi

he International Festival Divadelná Nitra 2018 is being already intensively prepared with the subtitle - RE. The theme emerged from the need to change the perception of the world, which is preserved in many concepts containing the prefix RE - RENEW, REPEAT, RESPOND.

The conception and selection of the festival's foreign programme in 2018 are again guaranteed by Dáša Čiripová, Martina Vannayová, Ján Šimko and Ján Balaj.

The curators of the Slovak part of the main programme of the festival will be members of MLOKi, theatre critics Zuzana Andrejcová Ferusová, Katarína Cvečková, Lucia Lejková and Martina Mašlárová.

The MLOKi project was created at the initiative of young critics of theatrical art, who were satisfied neither with professional approach of the theatre community nor with the moderate style of daily press. MLOKi chose the alternative way, though following it means to follow the balance. The members of the association are Zuzana Andrejcová Ferusová, Martin Bujna, Katarína Cvečková, Miloslav Juráni, Lucia Lejková, Martina Mašlarová, Jakub Molnár, Matej Moško and Zuzana Poliščák Šnircová.

White tulip with Afro-American St. Nicholas

Musician, painter, actor, and a giver of happiness, Thierry Ebam in the guise of St. Nicholas visited the White Tulip at the traditional Christmas event.

Just like in autumn at September Tulip during Divadelná Nitra or in spring at May Tulip, and even now in winter, after 10 years on the 5th December  in the Bratislava club A Tulip for You met visually impaired children from Bratislava, seeing children and Iraqi asylum seeking children from Nitra. Together there were up to 55 children.

"It is a true example of integration. Blind children taught seeing the Braille alphabet, Iraqi children showed their font and writing to the left, told their stories about their home which is a thousand kilometres away from them. And finally, they expressed their feelings from these interviews with a help of drawings, and with Thierry they beat a drum, and sang the Silent Night and recently unknown for us Iraqi songs about Jesus. When it got dark, an unusual Afro-American St. Nicholas came with gifts ",  described events the academic sculptor Elena Kárová, who has been running the project A Tulip For You since 2009.

Divadelná Nitra will tell about the last people, who live in Chernobyl, on it’s stages

The visit to the Chernobyl zone has become a tourist attraction. But beyond the tourist footpaths, there is a real story of the elderly married couple, who has been living in isolation from civilization for thirty years already, surrounded by ubiquitous radiation, in a non-existent village, where they were both born and which they haven‘t left even after the nuclear disaster. This almost unbelievable story will be presented in the main programme of Divadelná Nitra by the production ZVIZDAL [Chernobyl so far, so close] produced by the Belgian company BERLIN.
